The server I was using has been down for about two days now and is
apparently overloaded as well.
It would be nice to figure out a way to just automatically rotate
between servers.
I don't really do any torrenting on this machine so its not really
needed.
If I do ever need something I could always put it on lily
I don't know why it is enabled but it causes issues with the global
cache dir
I decided to change the approach I'm using for torrents as to not
greedily add torrents that I won't immediately be using so this is no
longer needed
This account is just for viewing art, I'll be slowly moving the artist
I follow from my main account to this account
This is an attempt to get my audio to stop crackling as much
I think by default xdpw will record at the fps the application
requests which is usually at or below 60fps anyway
pwvucontrol uses pipewire directly which is a bit more useful
helvum is currently unmainted but it still works.
Maybe I'll look for an alternative in the future
I probably don't need this but I may as well leave it on
This isn't needed anymore since Firefox now stores profiles in
`XDG_CONFIG_HOME`
I'm planning on moving from three to two monitors soon, so I'll
probably need gamescope so games on my 1080p games seamlessly on my 4k
monitor
I was hoping that this would fix the audio crackling when streaming
games on discord but it didn't really seem to.
Otherwise, I didn't really notice much difference in performance
doing this for when I add a spindle later
- bluesky-pds was merged
- zeroc-ice was merged but not in nixos-unstable-small yet
I'm not actually using these packages right now and they are causing
build errors
I was on -bin before since I didn't want to compile electron, but now
I am using the electron binary for every electron app
Version 0.8.0 has a regression where the output stream is stuttery for
viewers
This was nice, but some programs (nix, and roc for example) don't play
nicely when a portion of their cache goes missing.
Instead of adding an exclusion for each of these programs, I'm just
not going to peridoically delete cache.
The nextcloud client requires user interaction with the secret service
and since im in the process of setting up autostarting for frequently
used applications, I'd rather not have this.
Additionally, this means I won't have every single file in a sync on
my machine at once which will help with space savings.
