The newsletter form only rejects an invalid email after a server round-trip, providing no inline feedback before the user presses Subscribe. Combined with the form becoming unrecoverable on error (input and button disappear), the subscribe flow is easy to get stuck in. Adding inline (pre-submit) client-side validation would inform the user of a bad address before they submit, reducing friction and avoiding the broken post-error state entirely.
Verified from the recording at 0:12: Frame at 0:12 confirms the error only appears after submission (server-side), with "Invalid email address." shown post-submit and the form controls gone, consistent with no pre-submit validation being present.
